Best Answer its kinda a high price item. but i wouldn't have been able to leave the hospital without a car seat. so that was the best gift i had gotten at my baby shower.
All Answers Answer 1 A pre-made scrapbook.. we actually did this as the activity at the baby shower instead of playing games but you could make one before you go... it is very sentimental because everyone at my shower made a page (though you would be making the whole thing) and its SUPER nice for me because I can just put pictures on and not have to mess with finding time to make pages with a baby!!
EDIT::: Just a warning about diapers for a gift.. I always use to give size 1 or 2 diapers until I had my own daughter... a lot of people got me diapers... mostly luvs and huggies and well luvs make her bottom break out and she leaks out of huggies because they don't fit her right... so I had to give all the diapers away and buy my own pampers... so just a little thought to consider about that 2009-06-29 22:20:18
Answer 2 go on google and look up diaper cake...its a "cake" made out of diapers....seeing as babies go througha lot of diapers my sister in laws all thought it was a useful gift..u make it out of rolled up diapers...its pretty cheap too 2009-06-29 22:20:26
Answer 3 bumbo seat... diapers wipes, soothie pacifiers, swing, diaper genie
I could not live with out large swaddle blankets [by swaddle design] and "The Happiest Baby on the Block" book. perfect pair
I would say diapers for sure along with whatever gift you pick out.
because at my shower they included a little tag in all the invites telling the guest to each bring a pack of pampers in any size or a pack of wipes then they will be entered in a drawing for a gift basket... and my little boy is 3 mo and havent needed to buy diapers or wipes yet and dont think i will need to for sometime to come. my husbands car was full of cases of diapers and wipes when we left the shower... 2009-06-29 22:20:59
Answer 4 It depends on how much you are spending. Diapers and wipes are the easiest to buy and the most useful and can never have too many. Buy bigger size diapers size 1 2009-06-29 22:21:45
Answer 5 Giftcards to baby stores, walmart, target, etc.
Helped alot in buying everything from bottles and blankets to car seat and diapers. 2009-06-29 22:22:23
Answer 6 Diaper Genie 2 or a diaper pail. Or just diapers. I didn't get very many at my baby shower but I wish I had. If you get diapers get a size 1 or 2 b/c they grow out of the newborn diapers quickly. Onesies of all different sizes are great also. 2009-06-29 22:22:31
Answer 7 baby bags, diapers, diaper disposal, car seat, strollers, baby bottles, baby towels, bottle warmer, blankets, monitors.

Answer 8 diapers believe it or not one person got me a case and for the first 6 months of my sons life i remembered who gave them to me and thanked them every time i saw her!!
or the baby gowns the ones that have no feet they have them for boys and girls they came n so handy in the middle of the night i didn't have to take the whole outfit off every 2 hours when he got up just pulled up the gown and changed him when your half asleep those are the things you appreciate..
but i really really loved getting a load of diapers you can even put it in a basket with all the bathroom items like baby wash lotion etc. 2009-06-29 22:24:40
Answer 9 its kinda a high price item. but i wouldn't have been able to leave the hospital without a car seat. so that was the best gift i had gotten at my baby shower. 2009-06-29 22:25:22
Answer 10 Someone gave me... and I've replicated it ever since... a baby First Aid kit, which included infant gas drops (could not live without), infant tylenol, infant motrin, baby thermometer, etc. Or, onesies. I had all kinds of baby clothes, and no onesies. Finally, the gift card. Those dont have to be exchanged or returned (new moms do not have time for that) and are good for whatever the new mom needs. 2009-06-29 22:26:01
Answer 11 I got a digital camera (that also shoots video) and a 2gb memory card from my mom. I've taken over 2000 pictures and tons of video using it. Rechargeable batteries are also great! I 2AAA for my camera, and including the charger (which plugs into the wall or the computer), it was $7.99 on closeout at Kroger. If you can't afford something like a camera, silly as it may feel, go with a charger and some batteries...they will not go to waste! 2009-06-29 22:26:21
Answer 12 believe it or not this silly little toy from an unknown friend. when my son was newborn he was really sick. he would not go to sleep without that little toy. he held onto it like his life depended on it. 2009-06-29 22:26:36
Answer 13 Bummis cloth diaper kit. It came with 6 Super whisper wraps and 36 unbleached cloth prefold diapers. Even though now at 10months my daughter has outgrown the wraps, she still uses the prefolds. Have never had to buy her any other diaper! 2009-06-29 22:37:28
Answer 14 My most useful gift was a high chair that all my aunts pulled together and bought me. An idea for a gift tho, buy a diaper bag and fill it with all the little necessitates you would need for going out. small box of wipes, a bottle, spit cloths, onesis, nuks, butt cream, a small toy, or whatever else comes to mind. Find some ribbon to match the diaper bag and write her name on it with a sharpie. That stuff is bound to get used 2009-06-29 22:46:08
Answer 15 Gro-bag, baby safety/grooming kit and a room thermometer. These are my fave items but also everyday things like diapers & wipes will always be useful. 2009-06-29 23:51:23
Answer 16 Diapers are a nice idea, however if your baby doesn't "like" those diapers, then you may be SOL wit them. We got a ton of Huggies diapers, and the only ones he could use were the Newborn gentle care, after that he leaked! So, we had to buy our own diapers.
I'd say that an awesome idea is to get a diaper bag and fill it with essentials! Get a small pack of diapers, a travel case of wips (babies r us has these toss away travel wipes by huggies that have like cars or princesson it for $2), binkies, a sleeper, and some onesies, bibs, bottle, blanket and maybe a small toy... these will all be things she could use, and you might have just packed the babies hospital bag for her! =D 2009-06-30 06:42:21
Answer 17 I think a warm steam vaporizer would come handy in a lot of occasions, especially during the infant to toddler years of a child. 2009-06-30 20:18:36
Answer 18 I own a diaper cake business and i get a lot of positive feedback from the moms who get the diaper cakes. They love that they can use all the products on the diaper cake including diapers, pacifiers, comb & brush, teething rings, body wash, lotion, etc. and its such a cute original present to receive. 2009-07-01 09:26:20
Answer 19 Hi,
If I were you, I would definitely buy a baby bedding. It is a great gift, very useful and makes a terrific nursery for their little one. Just choose a unique and beautiful baby nursery and you'll be amazed of what a great baby shower gift that is.
Cheers and good luck with the gift! 2009-07-02 10:32:27
