The Gurdwara is a doorway into the Guru’s house. The term is derived from Punjabi, where a “guru” is referred to as “a teacher or a spiritual guide” and “dwara” refers to as “a door”. A Sikh Gurdwara welcomes all, without any discrimination for caste, color or creed.

Gurdwara Sahib is located on the Southeast side of Indianapolis and serves as the spiritual home for Sikhs and for all interfaith communities interested in finding out more about the Sikh faith. Gurdwara Sahib provides many services including regular Friday and Sunday services, monthly Akhand Path, Sunday Punjabi school, Gurpurbh celebrations and many other event.
